WIA has always been more than a professional network. We are a global, volunteer-led community created to help women build thriving careers in Alliances & Partnerships through networking, mentorship, educational events, skill development, and, above all, genuine connections.
As our community continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and strategic leader who can help shape what comes next.
🌟 What does the Chairwoman role look like?
The Chairwoman is the top volunteer leader of Women In Alliances. She helps define and protect our strategy and mission while ensuring our global community, chapters, and volunteer teams continue moving in the same direction. WIA_Chairwoman_Job_Description.…
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. Our next Chairwoman will:
Shape and lead the overall strategy of Women In Alliances
Lead our organizing committee and help turn priorities into action
Listen to our members, volunteers, and chapter leaders so our strategy reflects what our community needs
Work with our Strategic Growth lead to continue expanding WIA’s reach, chapters, and membership
Partner closely with Operations and Finance to support the day-to-day health of the organization
Support WIA’s website and LinkedIn presence
Protect the authenticity and volunteer-led spirit that makes our community special
💜 Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who can combine big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.
Someone who is comfortable bringing people together, leading conversations, making decisions, and helping a volunteer organization turn ideas into action.
Experience in Alliances, Partnerships, business development, or a related field is a strong plus. Previous nonprofit, board, or volunteer leadership experience is welcome, but it is not required.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely believes in the WIA mission and wants to contribute her time, energy, and leadership to our community.
